Lygeros<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the Peloponnese, the harvest has begun for the production of extra virgin green olive oil, which comes from non-irrigated olive trees that have been protected exclusively by zeolite. As a result, these olives are free from both olive fruit flies and olive scale insects. After a three-year period, during which 8 kg of zeolite has been incorporated per root per year, these organic olives meet the criteria for the Ultra Premium category. All the parameters of this zeolite olive oil fall within the limits set by this international regulation, which is constantly evolving at a global level. zeolado (zeolite olive oil) thus serves to effectively bolster the reputation of Greek olive oil in foreign markets as well. In this sense, it sets an example for producers who had given up on their prospects and had resorted to selling their oil in bulk to Italy and Spain, where it is blended with their own olive oils, which are not of the same quality. Because with \u2018zeolado (zeolite olive oil)\u2019, which is standardised, they have a reliable model to emulate and can even see the commercial difference. It is thus clear to everyone that the combination of olive oil and zeolite represents added value for Greece and an application of Smart Farming through zeolado.
