SUBJECT: Approval of the technical study for the operation of an industrial mineral (Zeolite
\n) quarry, covering an area of 83.4273 stremmata at the \u2018KOKKALO\u2019 site, Petroton, Orestiada Municipality, Evros Prefecture, by the company \u2018OLYMPOS S.A.\u2019.<\/p>\n

DECISION<\/strong>
\nHaving regard to:<\/p>\n

1. The provisions of:
\na. Presidential Decree 70\/2015 (Government Gazette 114\/A\/2015) \u2018Re-establishment of the Ministries of Culture and Sport, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, and Rural Development and Food. Re-establishment of the Ministry of Shipping and the Aegean and its renaming as the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy. Renaming of the Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs to the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs; the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Maritime Affairs and Tourism to the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism; and the Ministry of Productive Reconstruction, Environment and Energy to the Ministry of Environment and Energy. \n2. Law 669\/77 \u2018On the operation of quarries\u2019 (Government Gazette 241\/A\/01-09-1977), as amended and currently in force.<\/p>\n

3. The Decision of the Deputy Minister of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change, No. D7\/A\/Oik.12050\/2223\/23 May 2011 (Government Gazette 1227\/B\/14 June 2011) \u2018Regulations on Mining and Quarrying Operations\u2019 (KMLE) and in particular Articles 4 and 101 thereof.<\/p>\n

4. Reference No. YPEN\/GDOPY\/181469\/2965\/28 July 2016, the application by the company \u2018OLYMPOS S.A.\u2019, by which the technical study on the matter was submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Energy for approval.<\/p>\n

5. Our document with ref. no. DMEBO-B\/F6.14.8\/181469\/2965\/18 August 2016, by which the technical study referred to in the previous paragraph was returned to the applicant for additions and corrections.<\/p>\n

6. The application, bearing reference number YPEN\/GDOPY\/183104\/3390\/14-9-16, from the company \u2018OLYMPOS S.A.\u2019, by which the technical study in question, with additions and corrections, was resubmitted to the Ministry of Environment and Energy for approval.<\/p>\n

7. The application, ref. no. YPEN\/GDOPY\/183918\/3600\/30-9-16, from the company \u2018OLYMPOS S.A.\u2019, by which supplementary information was submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Energy for the approval of the technical study for the exploitation in question.<\/p>\n

8. The application, ref. no. YPEN\/GDOPY\/184318\/3673\/7-10-16, from the company \u2018OLYMPOS S.A.\u2019, by which the proofs of payment of the consultants\u2019 fees and the fees due to the State and the Funds were submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Energy for the approval of the technical operation study in question for the development.<\/p>\n

WE RESOLVE<\/p>\n

We approve the attached Technical Study for the Exploitation of an industrial mineral (Zeolite
\n) quarry, bearing the same number as this Decision, covering an area of 83,427.30 m\u00b2, at the \u2018KOKKALO\u2019 site, Petroton, in the municipality of Orestiada, in the prefecture of Evros, in accordance with the provisions of Law 669\/77 and the Code of Mining and Mineral Exploration.<\/p>\n
