We already know from an earlier study that supplementing cows\u2019 diets with zeolite leads to a 17 per cent increase in production. Thanks to the natural detoxification effect caused by zeolite, which binds free radicals, toxins and heavy metals, it is only natural that the animal\u2019s body is in better physical condition and, consequently, achieves better production performance. Applications of zeolite in water purification have demonstrated its effectiveness in combating cyanobacteria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The most recent applications of zeolite, this time in the feeding of ewes, show that we can achieve significant results in reducing the microbial population per unit. More specifically, a one-month study showed that after 15 days of feeding a diet containing 2% zeolite resulted in a reduction from 1,000,000 microbes per unit to 400,000 microbes per unit. Over the following fortnight, the count fell to 300,000 microbes. But the difference is not only significant; it also makes a difference in a new area of application. Of course, we are aware of zeolite\u2019s fungicidal action, but we now have evidence at a microbiological level as well, which is important for our livestock farming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lygeros.org\/articles?n=14470&amp;l=gr\" target=\"_blank\">source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the most impressive benefits of using zeolite is its effect on milk quality.
