The vice-president of the Technical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE) for Central Greece, Apostolos Kolitsas, and the president of the Agricultural Association, Michalis Georgoulas, introduced N. Lygeros, who, as reported by trikalavoice.gr, spoke to the audience in simple and clear terms&#8230; \u2018To gain a practical understanding of the remarkable properties of natural zeolite, we need only examine some of its structural elements,\u2019 said the Strategic Adviser. \u201cGenerally speaking, zeolites have a specific surface area of the order of hundreds of square metres per gram. Equally remarkable, in this context, is just how porous zeolite is.\u2019 \u2018Greek natural zeolite,\u2019 he continued, \u2018has the ability to bind bacteria, gases, inorganic, organic and organometallic compounds, neutralises the pH of water and enriches it with oxygen.
