Greece’s development through the EEZ
The Struggle of Crete – Nikos Lygeros
Crete must find a clever way to combine tourism, olive oil production and energy. The key ingredients for the success of this endeavour are Greek innovation, zeolite from Thrace and natural gas from southern Crete. The whole framework must be managed strategically, as critical decisions for the future will need to be taken. In other words, Crete’s endeavour is a practical one and no longer merely theoretical generalisation. There must be coordination of efforts between the Regional Authority, the municipalities and the Hydrocarbons Master’s programme at the Technological Educational Institute of Heraklion. In this way, we will see the application ... Read more

So whilst we may have the impression that things are difficult, at least at first, after so many attempts we see that it is ultimately our own incompetence that traps us. We are, then, free yet besieged in our own homeland, but not by foreigners, merely by those we chose to solve our problems, without realising that this does not, in essence, concern them. For it is inconceivable that, after all ... Read more
EEZ and zeolite – N. Lygeros
The Greek EEZ and Greek zeolite are highly strategic tools and constructive solutions that can provide practical help to our country. Consequently, these are issues that we must promote under all circumstances, come what may, because they are not merely cost-saving measures, but measures for recovery and growth. With the EEZ and zeolite, we are also operating in the maritime context of the Ionian Sea, the Peloponnese and Crete, and on land in Macedonia and Thrace… Read the rest here: Lygeros.org
