Heavy metals
Heavy metals, autism and zeolite. Nikos Lygeros
zeolite can play a practical role in binding heavy metals, as we know that it binds them and acts as a natural detoxifier
How zeolite can help your liver
How zeolite can help your liver | Zeolife.gr How zeolite can help your liver When your liver ‘goes on strike’: The liver is the key organ for metabolism and detoxification. It processes all nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates and fats, produces bile, stores blood, iron and vitamin K. It plays a role in blood formation during the foetal period, is vital for maintaining body temperature, breaks down red blood cells and hormones, aids blood clotting, filters and detoxifies endogenous toxins such as ammonia, as well as ‘exogenous’ toxins such as medicines, colourings, preservatives, alcohol, etc. As well as having a lot of ... Removal of boron and arsenic from petrochemical waste using zeolite as an adsorbent

Enhancing the removal of arsenic, boron and heavy metals in groundwater-fed wetlands using various mass-support media
The presence of arsenic and heavy metals in drinking water sources poses a serious health risk due to chronic toxicological effects. Constructed wetlands have the potential to remove arsenic and heavy metals, but little is known about pollutant removal efficiency and reliability of wetlands for this task. This lab-scale study investigated the use of vertical subsurface flow constructed wetlands for removing arsenic, boron, copper, zinc, iron and manganese from synthetic wastewater. Gravel, limestone, zeolite and cocopeat were employed as wetland media. Conventional gravel media only showed limited capability in removing arsenic, iron, copper and zinc; and it showed virtually no ... Read more
