There is no excuse for Skouries. Whatever may be said, whatever promises may be made by all sides, it is unacceptable that work is continuing. We all know that this is not about gold, but about gold dust. We can all see that chemical mining is unacceptable. This whole process is driven solely by the gold market and cannot be considered a serious investment, even from an economic point of view. When you destroy everything, because you ignore everything, you cannot carry on without incurring a cost. Even the use of the police must stop, because this amounts to manipulation. Nobody wants the definitive and irreversible destruction of the region.
