Our company is engaged in the implementation and sale of certified natural zeolite of European origin and Greek aluminous diatomite. The zeolite content in clinoptilolite for agricultural and livestock use is at least 85% and is available in various granulometries depending on its use. Our goal is to spread the innumerable applications of these natural inert minerals, resulting in the immediate benefit of their properties in areas such as agriculture, livestock farming, the environment and human health. We ship the same day across Greece and the rest of Europe from our warehouse in Thessaloniki and Nea Orestiada. We offer wholesale and retail prices.
Olive mill wastewater treatment using a simple, low-cost zeolite-based method
Olive mill wastewater (OMW), a liquid by-product of the olive oil industry, represents a severe environmental problem owing to its high pollution load. In this study, successive columns containing different types of natural materials were investigated for their OMW treatment efficiency. Passing OMW through three columns of gravel, fine sand, and a mixture of acidified cotton and zeolite (weight:weight ratio of cotton:clinoptilolite of 2:1), followed by treatment with activated charcoal (AC) and lime, was the best treatment in terms of the quality of water obtained. This treatment decreased concentrations of −3NO, B, K, P, and total fat in OMW by ... Read more
A hot topic in Thrace: zeolite
Two New Democracy MPs from Thrace have accused officials of serving personal interests by failing to exploit Thrace’s zeolite reserves. They are Alexandros Kontos and Evripidis Stylianidis, former ministers, who do not, however, name the personal interests they are denouncing. At the same time, and after a three-year delay, the Greek courts have dismissed, on technical grounds, an appeal by the company concerned regarding the exploitation of zeolite in Thrace. Despite the fact that a public prosecutor’s investigation is calling for an inquiry into the responsibilities and omissions of former and current members of the government regarding the suspension of ... zeolites, licences and services – Nikos Lygeros
By bringing this issue to the fore, Greek zeolite is effectively mobilising the Greek authorities, not only because of the bureaucracy, but because certain factors relating to the environment and human health are of the utmost importance. Greek zeolite must set an example in this sector, because we have had enough of unacceptable licences being granted in our country in a bizarre manner, creating problems with irreversible consequences. Thrace and Macedonia are constantly under such pressure, and we want Greek zeolite s to be beyond reproach in terms of procedure as well. It is therefore indeed important that we closely ... The new phase of zeolite – Nikos Lygeros
The new phase for zeolite stems from a strategic combination of applications and licensing. The former demonstrate to producers in practical terms what zeolite offers in terms of product quality and increased production. The latter, with the first licence granted, are beginning to attract investment interest, and the number of candidates for deposit sites is increasing. This strategic combination is yielding its first results, and we have an ever-increasing amount of technical and scientific data. Thrace is at the heart of this collaboration and is demonstrating that it has taken the issue seriously, even at an institutional level. Applications on ... Read more

Intermediate technologies towards a low-carbon economy. The Greek zeolite CCS outlook in relation to EU commitments
The technological foundations for a successful economic transition towards a low-carbon economy are outlined. An attempt is made to link the combustion of fossil fuels (lignite) with the requirements for sustainable energy production in Greece, proposing economical, feasible and environmentally friendly methods to minimise the CO₂ problem using innovative techniques for the separation, carbon capture and storage (CCS) of this greenhouse gas. CCS represents an intermediate step towards low-carbon energy production. Cost-effective and efficient CCS methods can be achieved through new physicochemical approaches that enhance adsorption-driven carbon dioxide capture in zeolite pores or in depleted lignite matrices, potentially by utilising ... Question by A. Kontou and E. Stylianidis on the utilisation of zeolite in Thrace
A question was put to the Ministers for the Environment, Finance, Development and Rural Development, as well as the Minister for Macedonia and Thrace, was tabled by New Democracy MPs Alexandros Kontos and Evripidis Stylianidis, raising the issue of the utilisation of zeolite in Thrace. As they state: One of the greatest opportunities for development in our country’s agricultural sector, as well as in other sectors, lies in the exploitation and use of zeolite, large deposits of which are found in the region of Thrace. Unfortunately, however, for procedural and legal reasons, as well as to serve personal interests, this ... Read more

The battle over the sugar factories – Nikos Lygeros
The fight for sugar factories in Greece is a national issue and we must not limit it to local concerns. Greece has the capacity to produce high-quality sugar and must not only continue but also increase its production. This objective is not unattainable, as there is potential for the use of zeolite in this sector as well. The discussions held at the Nea Orestiada factory are not only encouraging but also allow us to foresee its immediate application in crop cultivation. The idea, therefore, is not simply to support a structure and infrastructure that some may regard as outdated, nor ... Read more
