Rural development policy and Greek zeolite – N. Lygeros
Rural development policy is one of the most important sectors in Greece. Of course, we have become accustomed to hearing about farmers in a passive way, in the context of subsidies, without realising what an important role they play for our country. We have a land with great potential and enormous diversity. We must make the most of these assets and showcase them. In this context, Greek zeolite can play a huge role, as it protects the soil, enables water savings for irrigation, avoids the need for heavy-duty pesticides, reduces the use of fertilisers – as cultivation becomes more efficient – and, of course, simultaneously increases production across all sectors of agriculture. zeolites also enable more effective protection of organic and traditional crops.
