Thrace’s zeolite is not a political issue. And if there are any petty politicians and party hacks trying to delay or stop its exploitation in our homeland, they’ll simply get a taste of their own medicine. Because Thrace needs zeolite to bring about change and open up real prospects for the future. We have absolutely no need for ‘colourful’ MPs who have no idea what’s going on and haven’t even been briefed on zeolite because they’re so busy maintaining good neighbourly relations. Having lackeys at local level doesn’t bother us, as it has always been that way throughout our history. It’s just good to know that they’re incapable of helping our country. Thus, the excuses they come up with are always ridiculous, because they are not based on knowledge, but solely on political expediency, underpinned, of course, by ignorance. Thrace’s zeolite is a source of life for all Thracians and, by extension, for all Greeks in the long run. We cannot possibly pay any heed to various charlatans of the ‘according to Luke’ variety who think they can influence a matter of national importance. Because Thracian zeolite is a national issue, just as the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) is. And we are delighted that the licensing procedures are moving forward and that Greek companies are interested in exploiting it. The Region has given its approval, as have the municipalities directly affected by the deposit sites. They are carrying out vital work, both for their own communities and for all Greeks. Let us therefore move on to the final phase so that we may finally see Thrace’s zeolite helping our people and our country in a practical way.
