Frequently asked questions
What is Bentonit MED® and how does it differ from zeolite?
Bentonit MED® is 100% natural montmorillonite bentonite — a different mineral from zeolite. Bentonite has a layered sheet structure and works through adsorption. Zeolite is a porous mineral that works through ion exchange (cation exchange). Both bind heavy metals, but through different mechanisms.
How do I take Bentonit MED® powder?
½ teaspoon (1 gram) in a glass of water (250 ml), 2-3 times per day, immediately after meals. Maximum duration 12 weeks.
How many Bentonit MED® capsules can I take per day?
2 capsules together with meals, 2-3 times per day. Maximum 6 capsules daily.
What are the side effects of Bentonit MED®?
Common: constipation during the first week. Rare: flatulence, stomach pain, nausea, dizziness, fatigue. Increase water, reduce dose, or consult a doctor.
Does Bentonit MED® interact with medications?
Yes. Observe at least 2 hours between medication and Bentonit MED®. Take medications before Bentonit MED®. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, acidic beverages.
When should I choose Bentonit MED® instead of ZeoBent MED® or Zeolite MED®?
Choose Bentonit MED® if you want pure bentonite action without zeolite, for gastrointestinal support and toxin adsorption. Choose ZeoBent MED® for combined action. Choose Zeolite MED® for pure clinoptilolite to bind heavy metals through ion exchange.
Is Bentonit MED® the same as pharmacy bentonite?
No. Bentonit MED® is a certified medical device (CE 0477) with strict purity specifications. Generic pharmacy bentonite may not have medical device certification and could be of different composition. Always verify CE marking and suitability for internal use.
For how long can I take Bentonit MED®?
Maximum duration 12 weeks. For repeated use, break of at least 1 week. Not intended for continuous use.
