Greek Zeolite
Experimental Greek zeolite – N. Lygeros
Experimental Greek zeolite – N. Lygeros Thanks to the zeolite exploration licence held by Giorgos Georgiadis in the Kokkalo area, we now have Greek zeolite in our hands for the first time, enabling us to carry out experiments and select applications. At present, of course, there are only a few kilograms available until the licence to mine Greek zeolite is granted, but it marks a symbolic beginning that proves the vision has become a reality, and now no one can dispute its existence, however slow on the uptake they may be. As we require material for experiments relating to Greek ... Read more
Mapping Greek zeolite – N. Lygeros
With the new data from the Kokkalo area near Petrota, in Northern Evros, the mapping of Greek zeolite is revealing more and more information about these strategic reserves of our country. The recording of geological data and the identification of zeolite tuffs now give us a clearer picture of the location of the deposits of interest to us due to their high clinoptilolite content. In other words, we no longer rely solely on estimates, as we did previously for the area, but tangible results – and indeed, some of these are backed up by chemical analyses, thanks to the tremendous ... Rural development policy and Greek zeolite – N. Lygeros
Rural development policy is one of the most important sectors in Greece. Of course, we have become accustomed to hearing about farmers in a passive way, in the context of subsidies, without realising what an important role they play for our country. We have a land with great potential and enormous diversity. We must make the most of these assets and showcase them. In this context, Greek zeolite can play a huge role, as it protects the soil, enables water savings for irrigation, avoids the need for heavy-duty pesticides, reduces the use of fertilisers – as cultivation becomes more efficient ... Patents involving Greek zeolite – N. Lygeros
Rather than waiting for everything to come to us, we must take steps towards innovation ourselves. With the first samples demonstrating the quality of Greek zeolite in the Kokkalo area, we have the opportunity to develop new products that offer added value. Greek zeolite is clinoptilolite, but each has its own local characteristics. Greek zeolite is of the Eulandite type. It therefore has a general formula: (Ca,Na₂)₂(Si₇Al₂O₁₈), 6H₂O, but as it is clinoptilolite, it contains the following elements: Si-Al-Na-K-Ca. However, as we are actually talking about zeolite tuff, there are always other elements present. Read the rest here: Lygeros.org

Greek zeolites and government departments – N. Lygeros
The growth that Greek zeolite has the potential to bring to Thrace, and indeed to Greece as a whole, is significant and must be recognised by the government departments responsible for assessing the validity of the entire process. Of course, we are not talking solely about the 8 per cent that constitutes the Greek state’s revenue from each quarry, since zeolite, as a rock, falls into this category. But more generally, both domestically and abroad. Because, at present, zeolites are imported. Thus, the extraction of Greek zeolite will initially lead to cost savings and subsequently foster an outward-looking approach, bringing ... Read more
Zeolite: Country of origin: Greece – Nikos Lygeros
When every Greek sees the words ‘Clinoptilolite’ printed on the 25-kilo sacks of zeolite, Country of origin: Greece, they will continue to find it hard to believe, even though the miracle will have come to pass, because it is already being prepared to become a reality. Thus, even those who remain sceptical now, after years of campaigning to promote this strategic issue at a national level. Even the Thracians who did not fight for this cause will feel bad when the first benefits reach their region, since in the battle over zeolite they stood against us, not out of malice, ... Read more
The map of Greek zeolite – Nikos Lygeros
However inconceivable it may seem to most Greeks, the map of Greek zeolite is beginning to take shape on paper. It is not merely a vision but a tangible reality. And it all began with G. Georgiadis, who continues his work for our country undeterred, overcoming each obstacle one by one to showcase our mineral wealth. So you no longer need your imagination to visualise the green areas where Greek zeolite is found; you simply need to look at a map that sets an example for everyone. For the determination that turns into perseverance also highlights the greatness of the ... Read more
The revival of Greek morale – N. Lygeros
The revival of Greek morale must be a priority, because it affects everything from the economy and politics right through to our strategy. Greece occupies a geopolitical position of great value and significance; yet a sense of gloom paralyses so many factors that very few people are addressing these issues. Misery has no grandeur and does not help Greece. It is therefore essential that we overcome this situation by going the extra mile. It is not enough to talk about brutality when you do absolutely nothing to avoid being exposed. Because no one will follow you in this inaction. Here ... Read more

zeolite – Nikos Lygeros
zeolite is a gift from nature for nature and not for commercial gain in society because it is a human act to offer to people who need to live freely in an environment they respect because they want to preserve it for future generations with a value greater than that which they themselves had from their predecessors who were unaware of their existence. zeolite – N. Lygeros
zeolite will make a difference in Greece and for Greece only and solely if our own people believe in it and put it into practice realising that they are helping our homeland because everything else is of no concern to us; what matters is development for the people, with respect for the environment, because we want future generations to live freely, just as we do.
